Good Friends
Quick question for everyone in the site, how many of your friends do you think are goodfriends ? Those that would be there for you when you actually need them and not when it was convenient or beneficial for them? It's probably a question I have asked myself a thousand times. It is probably a question you have asked yourself as well.
I've asked this myself and even though I've had many discussions about this with others, I've felt that I haven't thought about this through well enough. I sort of expect the best from all my friends and try to give my best well. The result of doing that has somewhat been an eye opener. I mean, how many times have you been screwed over by a 'friend'? How many times have you realized how good your friends are really are?
The point being, do you really know who is a friend and who is not? Anyway, I've always told myself of being there for my friends, giving my best, and helping them out and not expecting anything in return. It helps me be more comfortable and it helps me sleep at night. It has, however, cost me at times and those are the times that I have these thoughts about who my true friends are.
Anyway, I'm very thankful for good friends and thankful for the 'fake' ones as well. You see the value in one and the lack of it in the other.
So to my fellow PPers, how many true friends do you really have?

I see my friends as those with whom I get to interact exchanging news and views and as for them being there for me, I never depend on anyone and so never judge any friends as being there when I need them.
