Creative Ideas

Have you ever had a creative idea? Those kind that come to you at odd moments, and make you feel like you are really on to something. Then you let the moment pass, put it out of your head, or begin to doubt it was such a great idea after all? You originally thought it was a great idea, but don't act on it, only to discover weeks or months later that someone else has figured out that great idea and it was successful. I know I've done this a time or two!

Creative ideas come to us for a reason. I've noticed that if I don't follow through with an idea I have, someone else picks them up and uses them. I'm learning that when these ideas come, I need to jump in with both feet, be daring, be fearless and just start with it. Go with the flow and see where it leads. Not every creative idea that comes to us will be a success, but we'll never know unless we try.

I remember when I first started writing online, I would get all of these great ideas for articles, then I would second-guess, or doubt myself. I would never write them, then along came someone with the same idea, started writing and pow...they were successful! I've learned that an idea that comes to us is worth exploring, acting and starting on. Don't let the fear of others laughing or criticizing you hold you back.

Have you had any creative ideas lately? Have you started on them?

That has happened to me so I keep notebooks nearby to record my creative inspirations. The collective consciousness of humankind passes these ideas around, apparently... until they find a home.

When procrastination takes the better of us ideas fly out the window. Procrastination has stuck to me like a leech and just does not leave me no matter what emoticon

When I get a decent idea I try to write it down. That's the only way I'll remember it to be able to expand on it.

Funny you should mention that. As I type I'm waiting for Wordpress to replace the content I had on an old neglected site so that I could start it fresh, applying what I know now that I didn't know when I started the site years ago. Most of what was on my Squidoo lenses I am not transferring to HubPages will be there. Since it's no a Wordpress site I will able to work on it from either computer. I'm kind of excited about this new start.

I don't ever doubt myself, but many times I am too lazy to follow through. It all amounts to the same thing in the end!

Most of creative ideas came up to be thinking simple. Say for example 2k Year Date and Year problem is solved by adding two numbers before the year coloum. That is creative.

I must have missed this first time round, came upon it from Kasman's Pinterest page. I love thinking creatively - it's so much fun.
