What do y'all think of this shot?

I took this shot while walking around Chattanooga that day with my mom and brother. I loved the look of the sign and the textures and everything of the brick around it. I have taken a few sign and logo pictures over the years just because something catches my eye. I'm not sure other people like them as much as I do though.

What do y'all think of this particular photo? Does it speak to you or are you deaf to it's appeal? :)

Have you seen logos or signs on buildings that you really liked or do you hardly ever notice them? I think people can make great statements with the way they do their signs. The colors they use, the textures, the overall effect can help draw people in.

Anyway, I hope y'all are having a great day.

Yes such unique and colorful banners are more attractive. There are also some in the area where I live but I never thought of taking pictures. Maybe I should as this sounds like a great idea :)

I like that it is painted right on the building and the texture of the brick shows through. I also like the photo and the angle of the shot. It really does remind one of yester years. Very nice.

I like the texture of the brickwork that the sign is written on but it needs to be opened in a new tab to get the best effect...

Sounds like a plan to me. Sometimes they turn out to be cool photos.

Thanks. I'm glad you like it. I didn't know if people would like the angle but I am very short so I get this angle quite often. ;)

Yeah, I thought of putting it in the post but figured it might be ok for this shot to do it this way.

I think whoever decided to use that particular logo, in that method, for that business, made a great choice. I also think you have a good eye for the unique and capture it well.

Thank you very much. I believe the business was closed but I still like the sign.

To me it's vintage, not just by the word, but by the color and the font that was used. Being on the brick is homey or earthy. Makes you think the owners could be your grandparents. It makes me think it's been around for a long while.

I'm not planning on selling the image anywhere and it is on a public building that is closed so I think it's ok. Thanks for the reminder though.

Yeah, it does look old. I don't know how long it was there or anything else about it though.

pretty cool and makes me think of my yesterdayss too how simple and easy it was :)

I like that picture. It's really neat. We have some old advertisements downtown and they are cool. I think they may end up fading and going away, but there is even an advertisement for a Walgreens WITH AIR CONDITIONING. LOL That Walgreens isn't there and hasn't been there even before I moved here, but I think it is cool.

I enjoy murals...they're artier and more interesting than billboards, thus more effective ads, for me. (I like that wall sign!)

I like murals better as well. They have more texture and depth.
