Big Brother: Is Christine Acting Inappropriately?
I have been watching Big Brother since the second season, and I love it. It's such an interesting social experiment to cut off all of these people from the real world, then force them to kick each other out one by one. There is so much drama and excitement.
This season, I've noticed that two house guests are taking things a little too far. Christine, who is a married barista, cannot seem to keep her hands off a single, younger Cody. She plays with his hair, holds his hand, sits in his lap, and pretty much keeps some sort of physical contact at all times.
As a married person, myself, I am disgusted. She claims that she is flirting with him to earn his vote and support in the house. First of all, that's disgusting. Don't sell yourself out for money. Yuck. Second, she is very obviously not doing it just to gain his trust. She seems like the nerdy girl in high school that got invited to prom by the quarterback. If the were in the outside world, Cody wouldn't give her the time of day. She is just embarrassing herself. Lastly, it's hurting her husband. He has gone public in saying that he does not approve of her actions, and that he is going to have a talk with Cody when they finally meet.
Personally, I would be so upset if my spouse were to behave that way. We are in a dedicated, monogamous relationship, and just because there is $500,000 on the line (which Christine has no chance of winning), it doesn't mean that our vows are null and void.
She really needs to understand that she is crossing a line.
Being married and having a pretty physical relationship is not okay.
As for Cody, he should be ashamed to take advantage of the situation. She is married, and he needs to respect that. If she won't stop their relationship, then he needs to be the adult and end it. He is just as guilty as Christine, even if he is single.
