Week 1 - My Water Challenge

As promised, I would be posting weekly about the happenings when I drink at least 1.5 liters of water a day.

7 days have already passed and what have I notice? Hmm.. First of all, I have to be honest that I really wasn't 'spot on' on my target, because of the behemoth of work under pressure, lack of staff resulting in many things to do and the fact that I really haven't bought a water bottle to calibrate my water intake.

For days 1 to 3, I was doing very well with reaching my mark, and yes, I have peed a lot - maybe 5 or 6 times. It's fortunate though that the trip to the toilet is just a few steps away in my workplace so it's not an issue to me. In the morning, my urine would be kind of yellowish, but as the day goes by, it becomes clearer and transparent as I continue to drink water.

Another thing I've noticed is that my hair's more happy - I mean it's lighter and shinier - and that makes me happy, too. As for my ill-forgotten face, I still have so many blotches and pimple scars from my battle with stress, lack of sleep and water, and skipped meals because of work. But I do notice a slight difference - my face seems more relaxed and looks well hydrated.

Unfortunately, I lost track on Days 4 and 6. It's because when I'm running on other errands, trips to the toilet can be a bit challenging, so I tend to lessen my water intake to avoid the dreadful thoughts in my head.

Right now, there's a quite a few outbreak of pimples on my face, but just 2 of them. I'm trying to manage these two while keeping on drinking water until I reach my target.

Maybe for week 2, I might increase my intake to about 2 liters to see if there are more changes happening. Good luck to me!

Good to see how you are doing. Yes, it can be hard to keep up the water intake when so many other things are going on. Will be interested to see how you manage to keep remembering to drink your water. I have seen on other blogs that some people have an insulated water bottle that they put water and ice into (to avoid buying plastic bottles) and they keep coloured bands

I started my low carb plan recently and as part of that i have stopped drinking fizzy drinks, ill have maybe one can of diet cola a day but at the most part i drink a alternate of bottled water and green tea, water and green tea i find makes any belly bloating go away really fast.

sorry, got interrupted there. They have coloured bands, or rubber coloured bands and put so many down the bottom of the bottle and move one up as they refill the bottle, then they always know how many bottles of water they have drunk. With a good insulated bottle, the ice will stay and keep your water cold.

The increase of water helped me trim down. Basically because I had no room for sugary drink, fruit juice and coffee.
