How to be Read and Ranked

People write online for a variety of reasons, however, there is one commonality amongst us all. That commonality is to be read; to be read you must be found, to be found, you must be ranked.

There are countless sites and online resources that will help you optimize your site in an effort to improve your search engine ranking. Optimization is wonderful but what is being optimized will not guarantee continued readership or generating incoming links to your site.

Our common desire to be read and ranked can only be fully realized by our having a passion for doing what we do. Passion for your topic is first and foremost. Without passion you won’t do your best, your heart will be far from your article or post… and, when your heart is in what you do, no one will want to read your work.

The conclusion of the matter is simple, write what you love and love what you write. In due season you will gain readership, followings and ranking.

Thanks for reading - God Bless You

You may wish to read over your sentences again. I was agreeing with what you said until I think you left out a "not".

If you don't have any passion for what you write, then what you write will become bland. Readers will sense this. Also, without the passion, you will post on that topic less often and lose readers.

Funny, I was going to say an ending that thanks the reader for reading could be left off altogether. It's not the end of a concert. I would like to think my reader will look for another of my pieces to look at. Rather than bidding them a fine farewell (and the blessings don't bother me at all!) I'd rather entice my readers to comment, or show them the way to more content....
