Another First - Milk Tea

Well I had a lot of firsts that happened especially in food. I have heard of milk tea and wondered what they were. I researched and it is just plain tea either brewed or powdered and then mixed with condensed or evaporated milk to make it a sweet drink. Commonly served cold and sometimes with small pearl balls or sago to give it a different taste. Some use syrup or honey. So while we were waiting for an order I went into this Moonleaf Teashop that specializes in milk tea. They also use tapioca or sago balls and sometime gelatine diced. I was not really interested but when they said they had a new flavor of strawberry, I just had to try it . My daughter ordered Wintermelon flavor not sure but just tasted like plain sweet tea. The strawberry was great. It actually tasted like a shake because it was slightly thick and had strawberry flavored gelatine pieces at the botto m, the other had small tapioca balls. It was tasty and refreshing and made by a machine when after it is al miced they cover it with plastic so it won't spill but easy to pierce with a straw.
So next time I might buy another milk tea and maybe another flavor. Upon researching there didn't seem to be any benefits but just to refresh you and make you feel full.
You should try this too Loudman .

I always have a bubble milk tea when I am in Sunset Park, Brooklyn or Chinatown in Manhattan.

I love bubble tea with lots of tapioca. Mango and coconut is my favourite flavour. I tried strawberry too which was really good

This does sound pretty good. I don't know if I could handle more sugar, though. Thank for this submission to the contest.

I'm not a big fan of milk in my tea, but if I ever get the chance I might try a bubble milk tea, just to see what it's like :)
