Ways Of Creating Your Website Or Blog: Content Management System

If you are looking for an easier and more flexible way of creating a website or blog than with HTML and CSS then you may use a content management system. What is a Content Management System? With a Content Management System you can manage the content of a website without HTML and programming skills. A great advantage of a Content Management System is that the content and the design of a website can be set independently of one another. There are many Content Management Systems. One of the most well-known and popular Content Management Systems are WordPress, Joomla, TYPO3 and Drupal.

A Content Management System can be divided into three application modules. In the editorial system you can edit and manage the content. The content is stored in the second module and the actual output is generated with the help of the third module. Many companies have recognized the advantages of a Content Management System. It works directly in the webserver and is very easy to manage.

As a user of a Content Management System you can login in the system. On a mostly simple interface you get all the tools you need for creating new webpages or changing already existing ones. All the created contents are stored in a database. The database creates the website from predefined rules.

Funny, I always knew I would have to get into a CMS sometime, but I didn't realise that in using Wordpress, I already am using one!

janetwrites I did not know it was called CMS, but I have been using WP for a couple of months now, it is an easier entry to the world of websites, but I also think is a good way of getting started while learning HTML and CSS.
